Legacy consists of six hospitals, including a children’s hospital, dozens of primary care and specialty clinics, a regional medical laboratory service, a research facility, and other components of a complete health system. We have an extraordinary opportunity for a system Vice President, Finance and a Controller in Portland, Oregon. Our new Chief Financial Officer (CFO) is looking to fill these two key positions to complete the senior finance leadership team to lead our organization. Vice-President, Finance As a key member of the Finance Team, this position will report directly to our system CFO and will oversee the planning, policy development and leadership of financial management across all operating units of Legacy Health. The Vice President Finance will hold a critical leadership role with financial and strategic involvement in all business areas of Legacy Health, working directly for the CFO. This is an opportunity to broaden your knowledge and partner with the CFO for future career growth within Legacy Health. Successful candidates will have the following: • CPA or Master's degree in Business Administration or equivalent experience. • Eight years of diverse and progressively more responsible health care financial administration experience required. • Experience in developing and implementing effective operational and financial systems and controls. • Experience evaluating acquisitions and joint venture opportunities. • Working knowledge of managed care contracting principles. • Working knowledge of complex financial and marketing computer systems and their application to the hospital environment. Controller The Controller will be responsible for providing leadership, direction and management for Legacy in regards to financial reporting, tax, accounting, accounts payable, payroll disbursements, reimbursement, and risk finance. The controller will work collaboratively with the senior management team to support the VP Finance and the CFO in implementing processes that will ensure continuous business improvements. The controller will be responsible for reporting that outlines the system's financial position in all areas of assets, liabilities, income and expense, based on past, present, and planned future operations. Successful candidates will have the following: • CPA or Master's degree in Accounting or equivalent experience. • Five years of diverse and progressively more responsible health care financial administration experience required. • Experience in auditing, either internal audit or public accounting, preferably with hospital auditing experience. • Working knowledge of physician compensation preferred. • Working knowledge of complex financial and marketing computer systems and their application to the hospital environment.
