| Description: | Multnomah County’s Central Human Resources (HR) Division seeks a talented, experienced candidate to join its team as a Classifiaction and Compensation Consultant. The Class Comp program is part of the County's Central HR Divsion and is managed together with the Labor Relations unit.
Class Comp is responsible for overseeing the County’s classification system and compensation plan to help ensure the County attracts and retains talented, skilled applicants and employees. Additionally the Class Comp team regularly conducts studies of selected job classes for pay competitiveness, and for consistent, equitable classification usage.
This consultant position will be the team's functional lead, subject matter expert, reporting directly to the Labor Relations Manager. As the Class Comp team leader, the position will oversee and participate in conducting large studies, special projects such as executive comp, performance management/salary administration, and ongoing reclassification work. This Compensation Consultant will be also a key participant in the new bargaining process with the County’s largest union which resumes this Summer and ends next Spring.
