PassinArt: A Theatre Company presents Two Trains Running the highly acclaimed play by the late Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright, August Wilson. Two Trains Running tells the story of a Pittsburgh neighborhood in the 1960s about to go through economic development and gentrification. Memphis Lee's diner is scheduled to be torn down. Struggling to cope with the rapidly changing world, Memphis and the diner regulars fight to hang onto their solidarity and sense of community. With compassion, humor and a sense of place and time, August Wilson paints a vivid portrait of everyday lives in the shadows of significant events. Performances are March 9-April 1, Fridays and Saturdays at 7:30 pm and Sundays at 3:00 pm. Post-show talkback discussions following performances on March 11 and March 18 give audience members an opportunity to discuss the show and how the theme relates to our community. Community leaders and actors will also take part in the discussions. Tickets can be purchased online at www.passinart.org or at JP's Custom Framing, 418 N.E. Killingsworth St., Portland, Oregon 97211. For more information call 503-235-8079.
