Multnomah County Health Department is seeking a Nursing Supervisor to serve in the Integrated Clinical Services Division, School Health Centers. ICS provides services to people who experience barriers to assessing care. The vision of ICS is to provide services that are integrated and connected to support optimal health, reduce wait times and optimize access.

The mission of the SHC program states "Through partnerships we promote whole community, whole school, and whole child health, wellness and readiness to learn". The Program operates 12 centers in coordination with four school districts: Centennial, David Douglas, Parkrose, and Portland Public Schools, and the School Based Mental Health Program of the Multnomah County Mental Health and Addiction Services Division.

The Nursing Supervisor leads the nursing team (CHNs, LPNs, and MAs) in the 12 SHCs. The Nursing Supervisor is an integral member of the SHC management team who contributes to the goal of creating/maintaining an integrated, comprehensive service delivery system through effective collaboration with clients, schools, and school districts, MESD, community organizations, employees, Health Department management, and contractors. Main responsibilities include supervising nurses, clinic program staff, and other field personnel as assigned; collaboration with partners to ensure managed, integrated, and coordinated care and quality service; guide the program in the delivery of efficient and effective public health services.

Minimum Qualifications/Transferable Skills*:

Education: Equivalent to a Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college in nursing.
Experience: A minimum of three years of progressively responsible nursing experience in community public health, inpatient or outpatient care.
Licensure: Unencumbered Registered RN in the state of Oregon by the time of hire.
CPR certification required.
Required to pass a Portland Public School District criminal background check.
Must possess valid drivers license (this position requires daily car travel to health center sites located in schools).

Master's degree in Nursing
Related public sector experience with experience in school based health setting.
At least three years of lead or supervisory experience.
