If you like work that is fascinating, multifaceted, and varies each day, then consider the Senior Court Operations Specialist position with the City of Salem Municipal Court. This is a part time career position.

In order to be considered a viable candidate for consideration, you must meet the minimum qualifications and possess attributes that include being professional, dependable, flexible, able to multitask, demonstrate excellent customer service skills, have the ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing, and work with a diverse population during stressful circumstances.

The position performs a variety of complex administrative and clerical duties for court operations which includes working in the courtroom on a rotational basis during court proceedings with multiple judges. Employees are required to preserve and record confidential materials involving financial, personal, medical, legal, and law enforcement information.

What are the minimum qualifications?
•Must pass a pre-employment background check.
•High School diploma or GED and had at least three years of advanced experience in a legal, court, or administrative capacity performing complex duties requiring detailed, accurate, and rapid data entry, or any combination of experience and training that demonstrates possession of the knowledge, skills, and abilities as listed and ability to perform the essential job functions.
•Must pass the criminal background check necessary to obtain Criminal Justice Information System clearance and Law Enforcement Data Systems (LEDS) certification within 30 days of hire and maintain certification throughout employment in the Municipal Court Division.
•Bilingual -English/Spanish, English/Pacific Islander preferred
•Previous experience using LEDS preferred.
•Previous court or legal office experience preferred.
•Knowledge of Oregon Revised Statutes (ORS), Division of Motor Vehicles (DMV) regulations, Salem Revised Code (SRC), traffic violations and correlating processes preferred.
