The Portland Business Alliance - Greater Portland's Chamber of Commerce and Clean & Safe, one of the oldest, largest and most successful business improvement districts in the nation seeks an enthusiastic individual to be our Lead Sidewalk Ambassador. Our Sidewalk Ambassador Program offers information and assistance to downtown visitors, residents and workers. The Sidewalk Ambassador Lead coordinates the day-to-day functions of the Sidewalk Ambassador Program as well as performing all the duties of an Ambassador. The Lead will coordinate the staff of Ambassadors in their day to day activities and in the daily coordination of the Ambassadors such as: daily scheduling check in meetings, district assignment, kiosk placement, scheduling of lunches, area of coverage, etc. Additionally they will provide feedback and evaluation of the program, coordinate monthly meetings and handle weekly schedules among other duties.

The Sidewalk Ambassador Lead should have a record of producing measurable results and a proven track record in implementing programs from start to finish with very limited supervision. He/she must have experience-managing individuals and directing teams. He/she must be a proven self-starter, be able to multitask and coordinate several projects at one time, and possess clear, concise, and proven communication skills in verbal, written, and electronic mediums. He/she must have the knowledge and skills necessary to implement agreed upon initiatives in his/her area of responsibility and possess a wealth of knowledge about downtown Portland. He/she must possess excellent customer service skills.

Compensation DOE but will be between $15 and $16.
