To support our mission, we are searching for a Director of Youth Engagement who can drive a cohesive, enterprise-wide strategy that connects and deepens relationships with youth and families. The individual in this role will be a collaborative leader who has a deep understanding of fan/customer segmentation and can work together with the broader internal team in developing and executing marketing and engagement strategies.

You will be responsible for:

. Establishing and maintaining community partnerships with our basketball programs, youth and community development organizations and local partners.
. Crafting a strategic plan for youth engagement, inclusive of youth basketball and all other programs that directly connect youth throughout the Pacific Northwest.
. Leading our youth engagement coordinator, intern and all part-time youth basketball coaches, including but not limited to setting up coach trainings, ensuring quality standards of all youth basketball programs, and reinforcing positive experiences with youth participants.
. Managing the long-term engagement plan, day-to-day maintenance and scalability of the Trail Blazers marketing strategy that's focused on youth and family engagement.
. Working with analytics to conduct market research and providing recommendations to determine future initiatives that supports the unmet fan needs for youth and families.
. Driving new revenue opportunities via ticket sales, events, sponsorships, social, and other engaging youth and family platforms.
. Working with various departments within the organization to connect and bolster all youth programs including My First Game, Jr., Jr. Reporter, Kid City, Kids Club, Retail Gear, Fan Fest, Rip City Relay, and others.
. Identifying youth influencers and trend setters and providing insight into current youth culture trends and behaviors.
. Growing the engagement and participation of the Trail Blazers youth basketball programs including Rip City Academy, Camps & Clinics and Rip City 3on3 Tournament.
. Managing internal and external relationships with key partners such and Jr NBA, Nike, and Corporate Partners.
. Building and enhancing our Youth Basketball Coaches training program while ensuring an inclusive program design that equips all coaching staff with relevant information, materials and certification.
. Demonstrating strong leadership in driving the success of the Trail Blazers Rip City 3on3 basketball tournament.
. Supporting Blazer5 Esports team while working collaboratively and engaging youth audiences.
. Crafting, gathering, and assessing all data captured from youth camps and clinics partners in addition to other avenues such as parents, coaches, partners to identify areas of growth while ensuring database is current with pertinent information captured from all events.

You are qualified if:

. You have earned a 4-year degree or equivalent and have minimum of 5 year’s experience in brand marketing, communication or related area with a focus on youth marketing.
. You demonstrate strong project management with ability to multi-task, organize, prioritize, and promptly react to difficult situations in an effective manner.
. You are effective in getting results and meeting deadlines in a dynamic environment.
. You are detail-oriented and dedicated to strong communication and follow through.
. You demonstrate excellent people skills and the ability to interact effectively in a professional, diplomatic and mature manner with internal and external partners.
. You understand internal and external customers' needs and responding accordingly; anticipating customer needs; giving high priority to service and customer happiness.
. You possess strong character, integrity, flexibility, enthusiasm, sense of humor, patience, and self-control.
. Basketball knowledge preferred.
