Planned Parenthood Columbia Willamette is hiring a Help Desk Technician!

Position Summary: The Help Desk Support Technician is the critical single point of contact and liaison between the PPCW user community and the Information Technology department. This position's role is to provide friendly and comprehensive first-level troubleshooting, technical support and maintenance within the organization's desktop and thin client computing environment. This includes installing, diagnosing, repairing, maintaining, and upgrading all PC software, hardware and equipment to ensure optimal workstation performance. The person will also troubleshoot problem areas (in person, by telephone, or via e-mail) in a timely and accurate fashion, and provide end-user assistance where required.

This position requires a friendly and helpful attitude, a high level of responsiveness and tolerance for non-technical persons struggling in a technical environment, as well as excellent customer service and communication skills. Also requires the ability to work independently with general supervision.

Pay: Starting pay at $18.21 hourly plus depending on experience.

Schedule: Full-time (37.5 hrs/week). Monday through Friday 9 - 5. This position will occasionally work other days, hours and locations to meet operational needs.

Minimum Qualifications:
■ Associate's degree or equivalent combination of education, experience and training which provides required knowledge, skills and abilities.
■ Three (3) years help desk or technical support experience in fast paced environment.
■ Reliable access to transportation to access our Health Centers.
■ Demonstrated knowledge and expertise in the following areas:
•Hardware, specifically PC systems, with the ability to troubleshoot related issues.
•Diagnose, troubleshoot and resolve issues with network printers.
•Quick and accurate remote diagnosis and resolution for problems with connectivity, computer hardware/software.
•Understanding of TCP/IP networking protocol and basic LAN and WAN network architecture.
•Microsoft Windows Desktop and operating systems.
•MS Office suite of applications, MS Outlook, and navigating the Internet.
•Basic level Active Directory and Exchange administration skills.
•Help Desk or call tracking software.
•Developing Help Desk policies, procedures, and documentation processes
■ Reliable access to transportation to access our Health Centers.
■ Experience with SharePoint preferred.
