The City of Portland is seeking a Transportation Demand Management Specialist II in the Portland Bureau of Transportation (PBOT). The Transportation Demand Management (TDM) Specialist II is responsible for managing and executing programs that help reach the City's goal of dramatically increasing the percentage of trips made by walking, bicycling, transit and carpooling. The successful candidate will be a member of the Operations Section within the Active Transportation and Safety Division. The work requires strong communication and analytical skills for developing work products that are often highly visible to City leadership and/or the general public. The position is the project manager for business outreach, TDM program development and TDM policy development. The successful candidate will work frequently with other divisions within PBOT and other City bureaus. The position coordinates or interface with stakeholder advisory committees related to parking and transportation demand management. In addition, the position is responsible developing grant proposals and transportation surveys. Transportation-based project management experience is highly desirable.
