Multnomah County is looking for an Information Technology Administrator to continue our efforts in optimizing and automating desktop services. As apart of the Technical Services LAN team, you'll create and manage the user experience with desktop configuration. You'll use your expertise in Windows 10 and Apple iOS to provide advanced technical assistance and support for departmental servers and end user computer operating systems. With your flexible problem-solving behavior and solution oriented approach, you'll troubleshoot, analyze and resolve complex networking, hardware, and software problems.
Collaborating with your team and across departments, you'll oversee new hardware and software installation, upgrades, and support activities with county staff and vendors. You'll review, install, and analyze new versions, releases, or maintenance levels of existing operating systems or departmental application software. You'll look to innovate and develop work processes and system support documentation.
Additionally, in this role you will:
Perform system administration activities as needed, such as adding new users, modifying user profiles, resetting intruder lockouts/passwords, modify software groups and server resources
Escalate and coordinate recovery efforts to ensure restoration of failed systems
Proactively identify service disruptions and opportunities to improve stability, performance, and availability
Implement and configure a secure environment for systems and data
Participate on project teams for new developments and upgrades in both application and infrastructure areas
