The product catalog and pricing of Vetsource’s thousands of eCommerce shopping sites has a major impact on the backbone of the business. The Pricing and Catalog Specialist is responsible for the set-up and maintenance of all product level information and multi-level pricing for thousands of products in Vetsource’s eCommerce catalogs. Vetsource is looking for a professional that is a fast learner, detail oriented, organized, collaborative, and comfortable delivering under high expectations and demanding deadlines with impactful results. The ideal candidate should be a self-starter that thrives under pressure without compromising performance and be flexible with evolving business initiatives and technology.

Pricing Management- manage and execute important updates in product pricing, pricing strategies, and competitive pricing management

Maintain multiple pricing levels and fee structures to support various partners and customers
Lead price change project planning and execution
Processes price lists, contract pricing in agreements, and announcements to implement all price changes at manufacturer specified timing
Conduct bi-monthly and quarterly market research to adjust pricing and make pricing strategy change recommendations accordingly
Provide pricing analysis and guidance to support enhanced decision-making at the sales level when adding and removing products from catalog
Hold deep understanding of complex pricing including acquisition, wholesale, suggested retail, margins, fee strategies, etc to provide analytical support and make strategic recommendations accordingly
Manage large spreadsheets and databases in a production environment
Product Information Management – manage and execute important updates to the electronic catalog database including FDA regulated product information and pharmacy descriptions, product images, and categorization

Manage new item set up and maintenance, product switches, and discontinuations, including all internal and external communications regarding changes while maintaining internal SLAs for pushing new information and changes to production
Utilize first-hand knowledge of product to assist in product categorization to ensure both customer satisfaction and reporting consistency
Assign products and keywords by product category and manage cross-selling strategies
Manage accurate internal product detail database with complete understanding of how it affects the eCommerce sites and back-end reporting, ability to provide strategic recommendations accordingly
Process digital assets and associate them to products/websites as appropriate
Create and review art files (layout and color adjustments)
Create and update product content to support multiple websites and catalogs, including partner eCommerce catalogsEnsure product content adheres to strict Federal Drug Administration regulations regarding direct-to-consumer advertising
Audit eCommerce and partner sites to ensure data and price accuracy

Meticulous attention to detail, accuracy and organizational skills
Strong capacity to prioritize workload and to start and stop projects seamlessly, despite frequent interruptions
Ability to understand and perform complex business processes and pricing strategies in order to quickly become pricing and product information management expert for internal and external partners
Ability to perform at a high level with minimal instruction and work in a team environment
Effective verbal and written communication / collaboration skills
Integrity - maintaining confidentiality is integral to the position to protect operations
Product knowledge of veterinary pharmaceuticals a plus
Understand and use appropriate job-related software applications such as a product information management system (Akeneo), pricing systems, CRMs, ERPs, pharmacy management systems, analytics tools (Chartio and Crystal Reports), etc

Bachelor’s Degree in accounting or finance, business, or equivalent job related experience
Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, with a high level of accuracy
Preferred Qualifications:

Familiarity with product information management software and pricing
Familiarity of finance or accounting principles
Familiarity of veterinary pharmaceuticals
Working Environment:

Ability to work at a computer for long periods of time
Noise level in an open office environment is normally quiet to moderate
Environment where dogs are present
