The Oregon Health Authority Health Systems Division - Quality and Compliance Section is recruiting for a Licensing and Certification Compliance Specialist located in Salem, Oregon. The purpose of this position is to provide regulatory oversight for behavioral health programs and treatment service delivery systems. It requires specialized and advanced knowledge of rules, laws, and procedures governing the health and safety of people receiving services and pertaining to the Agency. This position requires the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Five (5) years of experience doing administrative research that included compiling and evaluating facts to recommend management action, or decide compliance or eligibility with program guidelines and regulations RELATED TO BEHAVIORAL HEALTH. Three of the five years must be above the technical support level.
College-level course work may substitute for experience on the basis of 45-quarter units per year, up to a maximum of three years.
Documented experience and current in-depth knowledge of:
managing or working for a behavioral health program, including the development of management policies and procedures for regulating, approving, funding, an evaluating treatment services;
mental health, alcohol, and other drug treatment/and other professional literature, including the prevention and treatment for general and specific populations, and recovery continuum as it relates to behavioral health treatment services;
assisting local community professional and diverse populations in behavioral health treatment planning and service delivery, including the development and presentation of training, technical assistance, and consultation;
incorporating techniques for maintaining or improving access, quality, appropriateness, and outcomes of services;
promoting a culturally competent and diverse work environment.
