The Director of Advancement will lead Caldera’s communications, development, and fundraising efforts. This position will work closely with the Board, Executive Director and Leadership Team to accomplish Caldera’s strategic goal of creating long-term financial stability while fulfilling annual revenue goals, cultivating its family of donors and supporters and developing compelling institutional and programmatic communication that inspires action and participation.

Critical to this position is an understanding of the differences, nuances, and interplay of and between brand and donor communication. Also critical is experience developing and implementing multi-year advancement, fundraising, and communication strategies that garner results- revenue, visibility, and engagement. Organizational objectives on which this position will focus are building our community of supporters by being in relationship with our current individual donors through a range of activities and getting to know their needs, characteristics, and what excites them about Caldera; refining and maintaining major gift outreach; renewing multi-year corporate contributions and building new, sustainable corporate relationships; cultivating and securing multi-year local, regional, and national foundation grants; utilizing donor data and database system to its fullest capacity; building the scaffolding for reaching new individual donors; articulating Caldera’s impact in clearer ways; and assessing and refining current event strategies, structures, and frequency. This position must also employ a strategic and inclusive approach that advances racial equity and a strengths-based narrative of Caldera youth.

Compensation:​ Salaried position DOE ($70,000 to $85,000). Benefits include: paid time off, health,
