Director ensures that all medical and non-medical supplies and services critical to the delivery of care to our members are procured and managed in the most effective and efficient manner possible. Position may be assigned to one or multiple pillars of Supply Chain that could include: Sourcing and Procurement, Logistics, Hospital Material, Management, Ambulatory/Dental/Administrative Material Management, Document Services Management. Kaiser NW Supply Chain is responsible for $25m in operational spend, $150m in material spend and $150m in service provision spend.
Leadership: Lead the planning, development and implementation of strategic initiatives in Supply Chain Operation including quality, utilization, finance, day-to-day operations, total delivered cost optimization, service and human resource management. Collaborate with regional and national leadership to develop and align key strategic initiatives that contribute to best practice standardization. Identify and present cost reduction and value enhancing recommendation to Supply Chain leadership.
Financial Performance: Responsible for departmental budgeting with achievement of budget objectives. Major supporter of the delivery of business spend targets and cost savings deliverables.
Strategy Development: Key leader and driver of change management across all supply chain. Expected to lead multiple projects and provide project management support to ensure successful development and completion of these projects.
Operational Performance: Responsible for staffing, budget, compliance, supply/service spend, service delivery, operational improvement, analytics and Labor partnership. Teams range from 30 to 100+ in size. Collaboratively work with operations, nursing and clinicians to achieve operational objectives. Human Resource management activities include hiring, reward and recognition, performance review, professional development, succession planning, UBT leadership and discipline management.
Minimum five (5) years of management experience
Minimum five (5) years in Supply Chain experience including purchasing, inventory management, distribution operations and retail operations.
Bachelor's degree in business administration, finance, operations research, engineering, supply chain, economics or related field OR minimum four (4) years of experience in a directly related field
High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED) required.
