The Community Services Program Supervisor position supports Home Forward's strategic and operational objectives in the following way:
To supervise and coordinate the organization, staffing, activities and operations within the apartments at Bud Clark Commons. Areas of responsibility include, but are not limited to: program eligibility and intake, housing inspections, Section 8 program compliance, participant and resident self-sufficiency programs; staff training to ensure compliance with Home Forward and mandated rules, regulations, policies and procedures; to coordinate assigned activities with other departments, divisions and outside agencies; and to provide highly responsible staff assistance to assigned management staff.
In this context, the incumbent in this position will collaborate with others at all levels of the organization and with external stakeholders in the consideration of significant goals, concepts, initiatives, and other activities that profoundly affect Home Forward, its employees, and the people that it serves.
This position is stationed at the Bud Clark Commons, 130 apartment units of permanent supportive housing in downtown NW Portland.

About the Bud Clark Commons:
The Apartments at Bud Clark Commons is a partnership between the City of Portland, Home Forward and Transition Projects, Inc. that houses a 90 bed men's shelter, a community resource center with programmatic services and 130 units of permanent supportive housing. Transition Projects is responsible for the services within the men's shelter and the day access center. Home Forward manages permanent supportive housing which houses the most medically vulnerable and chronically homeless citizens of our community. Along with community service providers, we offer the residents of the Bud Clark Commons supportive services including case management, housing stabilization, community building and connections to healthcare resources and supports and other services, to assist residents in transitioning to a more healthy and stabilized lifestyle. The Bud Clark Commons is a 24 hour staffed building and this position is responsible for coordinating this schedule, ensuring there is adequate coverage, and occasionally responding to crisis. The Community Services Program Supervisor will be placed on a weekly rotating on-call schedule and ask to serve on call duty from Friday - Friday every 5 weeks.

The ideal candidate will have Equivalent to bachelors degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in business administration, public administration, sociology or a related field. Five years of increasingly responsible public housing program experience including one year of lead and supervisory responsibility is preferred. Possession of an appropriate, valid driver's license is required.
