The Clark County Housing Program Coordinator is responsible for the instruction, coordination, general implementation and daily oversight of Impact NW’s Housing programs in Clark County, WA. This position includes both direct service to clients in the forms of case management and supportive services as well as the coordination and supervision of agency programming and staff. The principal roles of direct service are to provide intensive community based social work services including coordination, advocacy, support and encouragement. Specific responsibilities include Housing First case management for individuals experiencing chronic homelessness which comprise of screening, intake, property manager negotiation, outreach and ongoing support. Additional responsibilities of training and mentoring new staff on documentation, file review, intake procedures, data base management, and assisting staff problem solve day-to-day issues that may arise in Clark County housing programs.
Oversight responsibilities include contract compliance, outcome attainment, client assistance processing/tracking, data entry, service strategy development, monthly community meetings, and coordination with key partner organizations. The primary working location for this position is Clark County, WA, however, geographic boundaries are subject to change.
Hours: 40 hrs/week Full time
Pay Rate: $16.41/hr - $18.77/hr
-Master’s degree in Social Work with ability to be a field instructor for BSW interns preferred.
-Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in social work or related field. Equivalent experience may be substituted for education requirement.
-Experience in human services, preferably working with families experiencing poverty and homelessness, along with working with clients who identify having mental health, addiction/recovery, and/or other long term disabilities.
-Demonstrated knowledge or experience in the principles of harm-reduction and Housing First.
-Sensitivity and ability to relate to people from diverse lifestyles, socioeconomic levels, and cultures with the abilities to provide culturally responsive services.
