Dear Friends, we are looking forward to once again coming together to build and strengthen trust with one another and the communities we all serve. We have come a long way and there is further to go.
- In 2016 we identified barriers to trust between police and the communities they serve and ways to overcome those barriers.
- In 2017 we examined the brain science of implicit bias and its role in public safety. We identified tangible actions to overcome ways implicit bias can be harmful to the trust between police and communities. See the teaser video here: Building Bridges 2017
- In 2018 we shared tangible changes and measureable impacts occurring in our communities, see the video here: Building Bridges 2018
- For 2019 we are a united coalition to confront hate and prevent, respond to and seek justice when incidents and crimes motivated by hate and racism are committed in our communities
