Much of my professional career has been in student affairs and mainly working with students of color and first generation students. Through that work, I became more involved in DEI work in and outside of my roles. At the time my family and I were looking for a change and I wanted to move into a role that was more focused on DEI in higher education and OSU-Cascades had an opportunity that I couldn't pass on.
Creating local and statewide connections through friendly introductions and collaboration, open and honest conversations about what is important to the community, and what are successes and opportunities of growth when it comes to our prioritized populations.
