He/Him/His | Head, People, Culture and Belonging
Company: Vancouver Housing Authority
Moved Here from: Washington, DC on November 2024
Why did you move here?

I relocated to Vancouver to take on a leadership role in shaping and leading the People, Culture, and Belonging function for a government organization.

What is one thing that you need/want from a community right now?

On a personal level, since I’m still getting to know the area, I’m looking to connect with the community, build friendships, and establish a strong support network in this new and unfamiliar space.

What kind of civic connection are you interested in making?

I’m eager to get involved socially, build partnerships with local organizations, and strengthen community ties. For me, building civic connections is an essential part of this. It allows me to actively engage with the community, collaborate with local partners, and contribute to collective efforts to address systemic issues. Civic connection, in this sense, is about creating meaningful relationships and engaging with individuals or organizations within the local community—whether that’s local businesses, nonprofits, government agencies, or civic groups. I want to ensure I’m contributing to the social, political, and cultural life of this community in a way that has a positive impact.
