The Pharmacy Technician functions in a patient centered primary care outpatient clinic pharmacy serving diverse homeless and underserved populations of all ages. The Pharmacy Technician will collaborate with pharmacy and care teams to support patient care including clinical, administrative, and general duties within the scope of the Pharmacy Technician practice.


Prescription processing, filling, and delivery of prescribed medications to Outside In's patients
Prepare prepackaged medication for physician dispensaries
Maintain patient records
Assist with medication assistance programs
Drug inventory management
Bill and troubleshoot insurance claims
Maintain security and restricted access of pharmacy area
Adhere to Outside In medication formulary
Comply with rules of 340b purchased medications
Maintain an environment conducive to patient comfort and confidentiality
Enhance skills through continuing education
Treat all patients with compassion and empathy
Promote the clinic through positive public relations
Recognize and respect cultural diversity
Adapt communications to a patient's ability to understand
Perform inventory of supplies and equipment
Comply with established risk management and safety procedures including all required trainings
Embrace a culture of process improvement
Technical Requirements:

Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Windows Server
QS1 pharmacy dispensing software
Electronic Health Records systems. Familiarity with EPIC preferred.

Must have Certified Oregon Board of Pharmacy Technician License
Prior experience working as a pharmacy technician is preferred
Bilingual English/Spanish preferred
Excellent communication skills
Knowledge of HIPAA laws and patient rights
Able to handle multiple tasks and crises
Willingness and ability to learn quickly and adapt to a variety of situations
Able to work with people from diverse ethnic, cultural, socioeconomic and sexual preference backgrounds
