Our current Juvenile Counselor II vacancy is part of the Substance Abuse Team. This team handles isolated violation level substance abuse charges and felony level drug court probation cases referred to the Juvenile department.
The Juvenile Counselor II position will be responsible for screening, assessment, case management, and skills training of youth ages 12-17 with legal charges and their families. Additional responsibilities often include filing court petitions, conducting intake interviews, presenting cases and recommendations in Court, and supervising formal (probation) and informal cases. This position requires the ability to collaborate and plan with various service and treatment providers to safely manage youth behavior within the community.
