We are looking for a Financial Analyst to join our FP&A team based in Portland, OR. In this role, you will act as a business partner between our Finance and R&D teams. You will support the company’s quarterly and annual budgeting processes and monthly rolling forecast.
What You’ll Do
Prepare all facets of month end close processes related to OpEx, CapEx, and headcount, including data accuracy, variance analysis, and forecasting for all R&D groups
Support the reporting and benchmarking of key corporate operational metrics and communicate risks
Assist in the development and maintenance of annual R&D OpEx and CapEx budgets
Partner with Accounting team to ensure accurate monthly close
Proactively identify opportunities for financial process improvements
Assist with related special projects and other duties as needed
2+ years of experience in financial analytics, public accounting or public accounting with industry experience preferred
Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or Accounting
Demonstrated skills in financial analysis, data flow analysis and understanding of GAAP
Self-starter with a “can do” attitude who is comfortable asking questions
Ability to deal with ambiguity and deliver results in an unstructured environment
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Attention to detail and the highest standards for accuracy and precision, with strong organizational skills
