Do you have compassion for individuals who have been victims of crime? If so, Come Lead with Us by joining a dynamic and passionate group within Washington County's District Attorney's Office as a Victim Assistance Specialist.
The Victim Assistance Specialist will provide advocacy, education and support to crime victims and acts as a liaison between the victim, prosecutors, law enforcement, and community resources. The successful candidate will have a depth of understanding of the complexities of the criminal justice system and the roles of the various individuals within this system. Candidates should also have the ability to thrive in a fast-paced working environment. In addition, candidates must have the ability to provide compassionate victim advocacy with excellent interpersonal skills, yet be extremely organized, detail oriented, accurate, and efficient. Although not required, preference will be given to candidates who are bilingual in Spanish.
Designated bilingual positions require that the incumbent have knowledge of the Spanish language, spelling, grammar, and punctuation. Skill in writing Spanish accurately; ability to speak Spanish fluently; and ability to communicate clearly and concisely both orally and in writing.
