The Oregon Health Authority is modernizing and expanding their IT infrastructure and currently has a fantastic opportunity for an IT Procurement Assistant to join an excellent team and work to advance their IT operations.

What you will do!
As an IT Procurement Assistant, you will procure IT assets from point of request from the customer to the creation of purchase requisitions. This includes processing payments for IT services, contracted maintenances and administrative operating expenses. You will provide support to all the agency in the VISA order processing of IT assets from point of request to accounting completion.
In this role, all requests for procurement of technology will come through your unit for processing. Your responsibilities will be analyzing all procurement requests for technology against designated standards; researching and identifying appropriate levels or versions of hardware and software per customer's stated business needs; researching methods to procure, including best pricing; and preparing purchase requisitions.
Additionally, you will be responsible for ensuring asset management and procurement policies and processes are met; working with vendors to resolve procurement issues; ensuring all financial transactions being processed are in line with agency and statewide standards and within retention period timelines.

This is a full-time, permanent position that is classified and represented by a union.
This position will be located in Salem at 3990 Fairview Industrial Drive SE..
Three years of administrative support experience that included data analysis, collection and tabulation; purchasing through requisition and purchase order; inventory control and supply; or assisting with contract or agreement processing.
College-level coursework in business management or office technology may substitute on the basis of 45-quarter units per year.
• Ability to respond to multiple requests by phone and in-person.
• General knowledge of the Oregon Health Authority (OHA).
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Awareness of pricing and existing vendor contracts and state approved lists that are available to help the agency maintain fiscal responsibility.
• Familiarity with the use of word processors, spreadsheets and basic database programs.
• Solid understanding of IT assets that relate to desktop computers.
• Experience in promoting a culturally competent and diverse work environment.
