Psychiatrist, Assertive Community Treatment/Outpatient

This Psychiatrist position will provide psychiatric evaluation and medication management for LifeWorks NW clients primarily with the Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) team, but will also provide services in our outpatient programs. The Psychiatrist position works alongside a treatment team that includes RN, QMHP, QMHA and peers, and spends about 50% of the time in the community.

ACT is an intensive Assertive Community Treatment fidelity program. This is a community-based program, with approximately 80% of your time spent in the community. Our team works with adults, ages 18-99, who have severe and persistent mental illness who need intensive, wrap around services to assist with issues including (but not limited to) difficulty with housing, social support, interactions with law enforcement, addictions, economic status, employment, distress tolerance, emotion regulation, interpersonal skills, basic needs, and general independent living skills that are barriers to residing independently in the community.

LifeWorks NW's Mental Health Outpatient programs provides counseling services tailored to a wide range of needs through individual and group therapy.

Clients may have chemical dependency, emotional or behavioral disturbance and/or other psychiatric diagnoses.

Hours/days: This is a full-time, salaried position working approximately 40 hours per week (.75 FTE with the ACT Team and .25 FTE with Outpatient).

Qualifications:
- Must be licensed to practice in Oregon.
- Good computer skills including a functional knowledge of Microsoft Outlook and Word. Ability to master proprietary software including electronic health record system.
- Demonstrates effective communication skills and maintains a cooperative working relationship with others in a culturally diverse environment.
