The Program Coordinator establishes and maintains an active, highly-visible, and deeply-engaged presence to create and implement social and educational programs. This position enriches the quality of life on campus through the development of community building, celebration of traditions, and student event support. In addition, this position will work specifically to develop students’ self-awareness, leadership, and self-advocacy through oversight of their work with student interns and clubs/organizations. This position is highly collaborative with the Multicultural Resource Center and SEEDS - community engagement, to center the experiences of under-represented students. The Program Coordinator strives to develop and implement programs and services that align with both the Student Success plan and the Student Life curriculum and adjust with the evolving needs of students.
The Program Coordinator is part of the Office for Student Engagement (OSE) team. OSE provides experiences that complement the academic program, support student retention, and increase student satisfaction. OSE achieves this goal by providing resources for students to manage their events and organizations, programs to ease transition to Reed and create community, opportunities for entertainment and educational events on and off campus, and resources to help students develop interpersonal and leadership skills.
This is a full-time, exempt position with an annual salary of $47,500. This position has a generally predictable work schedule based upon programming events and schedules, which includes evening and weekend hours. The college’s working hours are Monday through Friday, 8:30 am to 5:00 pm. Reed College offers an exceptional benefits package.
