If so, you might be a great candidate for the Construction Project Manager I position with Metro's Solid Waste Operations team. We're looking for a new team member who will take pride in managing a variety of commercial construction projects and who thrives in managing projects to successful completion.
This position will oversee minor construction projects at Metro's solid waste transfer stations: Metro South Station (MSS) and Metro Central Station (MCS).
The Construction Project Manager I is responsible for project management related to the design and construction of capital improvement, repair and replacement projects at Metro South and Metro Central transfer stations. These projects include the successful completion of moderately complex projects, such as mechanical/electrical/plumbing improvements, exterior siding projects, lighting upgrades, building renovations, traffic flow improvements, space reconfigurations, security and accessibility improvements, and other maintenance projects under $100,000. This position also may manage or assist with larger design and construction projects at Metro transfer stations or other solid waste facilities as needed.
This position oversees design consultants and construction contractors, and is responsible for delivering projects within the project sponsor's approved scope, schedule and budget. This person must have a solid understanding of all phases of design and construction project development, as well as project management principals, tools and techniques.

• Two years of experience in construction management; AND
• Bachelor's degree in architecture, construction management or civil engineering; OR
• Any combination of education and experience which provide the candidate with the skills, knowledge and ability required to perform the job.
