Ethics & Compliance Specialist (R18-402)
As the Ethics & Compliance Specialist, you will develop, implement and monitor initiatives related to ethics and compliance.
Ethics and Compliance Program Management
Administers the Corporate Ethics & Compliance Program (Corporate Program) so it meets the U.S. Sentencing Guideline requirements.
Conducts regular risk assessments of the Corporate Program.
Evaluates Corporate Program and applicable programs, policies and procedures, and collaborates with others to implement improvements.
Policy Management
Conducts the three-year policy review process, including advising policy sponsors on the process, collaborating with them to make appropriate changes and assisting with communicating the changes.
Enhances effectiveness and accessibility of current corporate policies by streamlining, improving consistency and increasing clarity to improve employee understanding and adherence.
Investigations
Plans and conducts complex internal investigations in a lead or support role. This includes: creating an investigation plan, ensuring proper categorization, consulting and communicating with stakeholders as needed to ensure a thorough and fair investigation.
Interviewing witnesses and gathering other relevant information. Assessing evidence/information, determining outcomes and completing final investigation reports.
Reporting
Manages hotline reporting. Classifies concerns and assigns to appropriate area.
Interfaces with hotline vendor to ensure functionality.
Monitors cases for completion and closure.
Analyzes trends and recommends changes, as necessary, based on those trends.
Manages and documents appropriate access, creates custom fields as needed for reporting, enhances usability and ensures consistent use across departments.
Consulting
Provides guidance on policies, Code of Business Ethics and Conduct and related subjects.
Collaborates with others to develop responses to complex or nonroutine issues.
Consults with compliance program owners/operating units on developing their compliance programs, including recommending improvements.
Communication and Training
Develops and executes strategic and effective ethics and compliance communication and training.
Develops and implements a companywide communications strategy and partners with Corporate Communications as necessary.
Creates and delivers in-person employee training on ethics and compliance issues.
Partners with technical experts to design and deliver computer-based ethics and compliance training.
The successful candidate will have a bachelor’s degree in liberal arts, accounting, business or other related field or equivalent experience. Typically, five or more years in compliance, ethics, Human Resources, program management or related field. At the senior level, eight or more years in compliance, ethics, Human Resources, program management or related field is typically required. Certified Compliance and Ethics Professional (CCEP) preferred. The position will be filled at the level that commensurate with the successful candidate’s applicable skills and experience.
