Multnomah County Health Department Mental Health and Addiction Services Division (MHASD) manages resources for services to clients with emotional and addictive disorders. This includes behavioral health evaluation and treatment in outpatient mental health and school-based sites as well as the legally mandated assessments and court documentation generated by the Involuntary Commitment, Commitment Monitoring, Trial Visit, Residential Programs, and Oregon Health Plan Insurance through Health Share of Oregon.

This position is in the Clinical Records Unit of MHASD. As a Health Information Technician you will:
Retrieve incoming messages from external providers store and route to appropriate clinicians through Evolv
Perform Routine quantitative and qualitative audits of documentation in clinical records according to professional standards and legal requirements
Review records and enter EHR data for special reporting
Monitor coding and documentation needed to support billing processes
Provide ICD/CPT/HCPC and DSM_V expertise and education to staff and providers
Maintain the confidentiality of those records under the direction of the Clinical Records Program Supervisor
