The Electrician position supports Home Forward's strategic and operational objectives in the following way: performs skilled electrical maintenance and installation work. Employees occupying this position are responsible for the installation, alteration, maintenance and repair of electrical systems, fixtures, and related equipment. In this context, the incumbent in this position will collaborate with others at all levels of the organization.

The position is represented by the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local 48 and is subject to the provisions of the current agreement between Home Forward and IBEW Local 48. If the person selected is not affiliated with IBEW Local 48, they have the option to become a union member.

Position Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:00am to 4:30pm

This position serves various properties throughout Multnomah County and is set to close Monday, June 24 at 5:00pm or once a satisfactory number of applications are received. For best consideration, apply early!

Job Requirements:
Three years of experience performing journeyman level electrician work in residential or commercial buildings.
Possession of a valid Driver License.
Possession of a current Oregon State General Journeyman Electrician license.
Have completed or the ability to complete the OSHA Asbestos Operations and Maintenance Initial Training Course (OSHA Class III).
Eligible for Membership in Local 48 of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers.
