The Intercultural Counseling Center at Catholic Charities offers a variety of services to promote hope, healing, and wellness. We believe that people recovering from mental health needs and emotional trauma are able to live, work and thrive in the community. Our goal is to provide outpatient culturally responsive and comprehensive support and therapeutic services to individuals and families experiencing mental health needs. The treatment philosophy is a strengths-base and trauma-informed approach that provides individual, families, and group support through evidenced-based practices.

The Licensed Medical Professional provides comprehensive specialized psychiatric services management to adults and children receiving services through Catholic Charities Intercultural Counseling Center. The Licensed Medical Professional serves as a psychiatric consultant and resource within the Intercultural Counseling Center. The Licensed Medical Professional collaborates with the Mental Health Clinicians, Clinical Case Managers, Peer Support Specialists, and other members of the interdisciplinary team to provide holistic support and wrap-around services to individuals and families.


Provide direct patient care including but not limited to: psychiatric evaluation, medication management, psychoeducation, and consultation.
Collaborate and consult with members of the interdisciplinary team and community resources to assist with and/or coordinate the delivery of services to clients with mental health needs.
Provide comprehensive psychiatric consultation to qualified mental health professionals to ensure appropriate diagnostic criteria are met and evidenced-based practices are utilized.
Review treatment plans and individual interventions to ensure medical necessity of provision of services, and appropriate interventions.
Pursues ongoing continuing education to stay current/up to date with best practice standards and licensure requirements.
Demonstrates effective communication skills and maintains a cooperative working relationship with others in a culturally diverse environment.
Meets standards for documentation and performs data entry related to client assessment, client care, community referrals and quality indicators in the electronic record according to established guidelines.
Adherence to Catholic Charities policies and procedures.


A board-certified Psychiatrist licensed to practice in the State of Oregon or Oregon PMHNP licensure with prescriptive authority in the State of Oregon.
Experience working with diverse populations and perceptions of physical, emotional, cognitive and behavioral health, healing, treatment and resilience.
Experience working in an outpatient clinic is preferred.
Experience working with children and/or adults.

Demonstrate judgment and discretion in dealing with confidential matters.
Must be able to organize and prioritize work, be proactive, take initiative, follow through, and simultaneously manage multiple priorities to ensure goals are met in a timely manner. High attention to detail required.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.

Ability to work well in team setting, as well as independently; be flexible and adapt well to different dynamics in a fast-paced work environment.

Ability to support organizational and program specific mission and goals.

Ability to lift 20 pounds.

Satisfactory results from civil, criminal and auto vehicle background check required

COMPENSATION: Compensation is commensurate with skills and experience.
