We’re looking for a mid-level user experience designer to share ownership of user research, wireframes, usability testing, and product design as a key member of our user experience team.
What you’ll do:
The UX team at Jama is tightly integrated into the product delivery process to ensure our customers’ needs are being met. Individuals participate on small delivery teams, focused on shipping customer value each release. We also work directly with Product Managers and talk with customers to plan for future roadmap items.
To be successful in this role, you will:
Partner with customer-facing team members across the organization while leading design research efforts to understand problems or surface opportunities for intended audiences.
Own the user experience from rough to refined, using sketches, flows, concepts, prototypes, and annotated wireframes.
Seek internal and external design reviews to refine your thinking.
Hold accountability for running usability tests on the existing product, high-fidelity designs, and prototypes.
Collaborate with cross-functional delivery teams, representing the customer voice in the work we deliver.
A strong understanding of UX design principles.
High proficiency with design tools and software to produce user flows, concepts, prototypes, and other design deliverables -- most of our time is spent in Sketch and InVision.
Strong written and verbal communication skills. You can clearly communicate your point-of-view to your teams and other stakeholders.
Sketching or drawing ability to quickly communicate ideas.
Attention to detail and well-developed problem-solving skills.
Education and Experience Requirements:
3+ years of UX design experience that includes enterprise products. Brand or consumer product design alone is not sufficient.
BS/BA in art, design, interaction design, new media, human computer interaction (HCI), or related field
A portfolio of work that demonstrates UX design principles in action
