SIGN-ON BONUS! We have several openings in our Residential Programs for Counselor III Case Managers. These positions qualify for a sign-on bonus up to $1000. Certain restrictions do apply.
Residential Programs operate 24/7 and therefor requires around the clock staffing. These roles typically work day time hours, Monday through Friday and often require the ability to drive in order to take residents out into the community for appointments and other services. Location are in the Portland area, NE, SE and a few are in Oregon City area.
Qualifications we are looking for in these roles:
MA Degree in a behavioral science field. I.e. Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, Therapy, Sociology...
Must be able to qualify as a Qualified Mental Health Professionals (as Per the Oregon Administrative Rules/OARs). Degrees mentioned above qualify.
LCSW, LPC, CADC are great in addition too but are not required.
What kind of experience is helpful to have in these programs?
Prior experience working/volunteer in mental health and/or SUD
Prior experience working in a behavioral healthcare setting especially nonprofit
Prior experience in case management
Prior experience in doing assessments
Prior experience using electronic medical or health record systems
Prior experience serving diverse populations and demonstrative ability to provide culturally appropriate services
Prior experience in residential programs or inpatient or outpatient services
What are some knowledge skills and abilities that can help with this work?
Demonstrative ability to provide culturally appropriate interactions in working with our consumers and colleagues
Culturally specific experience and representing other cultures and ability to engage and provide culturally specific services
Knowledge of Motivational Interviewing, Trauma Informed Care, and principles of Illness Management Recovery, and skills to provide strength based practices.
Able to conduct a Mental Status assessment and formulate a diagnosis according to the most current DSM
Emotional IQ: Ability to effectively communicate and engage with others
Understanding of criminality and criminogenic risk factors
Ability to be dependable
Respect client confidentiality
Knowledge of Trauma Informed Care
Knowledge of barriers to access services
