The City of Hillsboro is creating a new municipal broadband Internet service utility and needs the right person to work with businesses, institutions, multi-family residential property managers and new housing developers. General Statement of Duties
The principal function of an employee in this class is to perform a wide variety of administrative, technical and sales duties for City Broadband. This includes broadband needs analysis, contract negotiation, and sales and service of broadband services. Additional responsibilities include both pre- and post-sale support, such as securing access agreements, cultivating market development
opportunities, and providing customer service resolution. Act as customer liaison with other City Departments to provide a high level of customer service and coordinate programs and services to meet customers’ needs. Coordinate City resources for investigating, resolving and responding to Broadband account customer service issues concerning rates, billing, and service reliability.
Acceptable Experience and Training
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or a related field and 3 years’ experience in Broadband account management and direct sales preferably with a broadband and/or telecommunications provider; or, an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed above. Must be able to fluently speak and write in both Spanish and English.
• Valid Driver’s License and safe driving record.
