Location: Portland, OR, United States preferred, but remote applicants will be considered based on ability, not location. Candidates must have a minimum 3 hours overlap in standard US working hours.

As the DrupalCon Coordinator, you will be an integral part of a dynamic and talented events team of staff and volunteers who serve our large and vibrant open source community. The ideal candidate is an adept project coordinator that is detailed-oriented, customer-service minded, and passionate about serving our community. This role will be our point person for communications to many key stakeholders including speakers and volunteers.

What you’ll be doing:

-Project Management of multiple tracks of conference programming for the flagship event, DrupalCon
-Coordinate conference communications with speakers, trainers, and scholarship recipients
-Assist with writing, editing and coordinating copy for website, communications, and collateral
-Create web pages, monitor and post content on the event website
-Generate reports, track, and analyze event data to help the team track sales and manage event logistics
On-site event execution - managing concurrent session speaker set-ups, acting as on-site contact, host programmatic social events
Provide administrative support with other Drupal Association events

Tools we use:

Projects are managed through Google Apps (Mail, Docs, Sheets, Slides), TeamGantt (we can teach you this)
Communication tools like Slack and Zoom (for video calls)

-Working with a global, multi-cultural community
-Working in a distributed team environment. Self-motivated in a home office environment. If you’re in Portland, we also like to get together for team working lunches every once in a while.
-Creating a robust program that serves multiple stakeholders with differing needs, opinions, and skill levels
-Multi-tasking across personas, tracks, and conference programs
-Travel to Drupal events
-Care about the people you work with and the communities you serve

Position Type:

This position is a full time, exempt position reporting to the Events Manager.


Salary range of $40,000 - $50,000
