Human Resource Assistant/Benefits Coordinator

Purpose: Entry-level position. Coordinates documentation for new and terminating staff/students/volunteers including data entry and filing. Processes changes in employee status. Responsible for background checks, verification of credentials, I-9's as required for employees, students, volunteers and Independent Contractors. Coordinates LWNW benefits for employees with vendors.

Position is located at LifeWorks NW's Cedar Mill office.

Days/Hours: Monday through Friday, 9:00 am to 5:00 pm.

Pay/Benefits: $18.93 to $20.59 per hour. Full benefits

Requires high school diploma or GED.
Minimum two years general office experience required. Minimum of one year prior experience working in benefits and/or human resources preferred.
Demonstrates excellent communication and organizational skills. Maintains a cooperative working relationship with others in a culturally diverse environment.
Proficient computer skills including a working knowledge of Outlook, Word and Excel. Ability to learn proprietary software. Must be able to keyboard 50 wpm and operate 10-key by touch.
