The Master Electrician manages, implements and maintains all aspects of the lighting department for productions and rentals.  This includes, ordering materials, hiring and supervising electricians, and maintaining the lighting budgets for productions and seasonal lighting expenses.
 
Key responsibilities as Master Electrician include:
In collaboration with the technical director, scenic charge artist, and sound tech create priorities and a schedule for the build/load in.
Communicate with the lighting designer to ensure a faithful interpretation of the design.
Oversee scheduling, deadlines, staffing and budgeting all aspects of the lighting department.

Qualifications
Theatre Bachelor’s degree or 3 years professional experience in theatre lighting.
Previous Master Electrician Experience required
Experience managing a staff and budget.
Attention to detail, including a high degree of accuracy and efficiency.
Ability to communicate effectively in a collaborative setting.

Hourly Wage
$17/hour
