Services Coordinator

Full-time (40 hours/week); Non-exempt

Reports to: Community Strengthening Program Manager


El Programa Hispano Catolico offers a variety of services to the community; the Services Coordinator assists EPHC to connect well with the public (e.g. within the reception area) and assists participants to navigate EPHC and community resources and services.


Advocate and support community members, connecting them with EPHC programs and other providers so they can meet their own needs and goals:

Work closely with EPHC's Administrative Support Specialist by assisting walk-in community members with a range of immediate needs and in providing information that will allow them to access community resources and benefits.
Maintain an updated culturally relevant resource list that includes services such as, but not limited to, housing, rental assistance, energy assistance, legal services, immigration attorneys, food, health, education, economic opportunities, etc. Maintain internal referral list for EPHC energy and rent assistance programs
Provide short-term support to Spanish-speaking clients, including completing forms, scheduling appointments, making phone calls, reading mail, sending faxes, etc.
Provide telephone information and referrals to Spanish and non-Spanish speaking community members.
Screen potential participants for services with community partners (e.g. Oregon Law Center, The Wallace Medical Concern, and Central City Concern/Puentes).
Coordinate adult life skills classes with presenters from others organizations.

Provide Administrative Support to Clients and EPHC:

Assist with data entry and documentation of EPHC registration forms and Information & Referral (I&R) entries in Salesforc
Ensure reception coverage during breaks, lunch, meetings, and when needed in coordination with other EPHC staff and volunteers.


Maintain confidentiality of participant registrations in compliance with EPHC policies and procedures.

Bilingual writing, speaking and translation skills in English and Spanish required as well as cultural competency.
High school diploma / GED, Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred. Knowledge of available community resources strongly preferred.
Minimum of one year of demonstrated success as a Receptionist, Administrative Assistant or Case Manager preferably in a non-profit social service environment.
Culturally responsive and effectively work with individuals of diverse ethnic and cultural backgrounds. Embody values of cultural humility and servant leadership.
Strong computer skills with demonstrated proficiency (intermediate to advanced) in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook; as well as PowerPoint and Publisher.

Demonstrate judgment and discretion in dealing with confidential matters.
Must be able to organize and prioritize work, be proactive, take initiative, follow through, and simultaneously manage multiple priorities to ensure goals are met in a timely manner. High attention to detail required.
Willingness to learn new skills and take on new responsibilities.
Strong analytical and strategic problem-solving skills.
Ability to work well in team setting, as well as independently; be flexible and adapt well to different dynamics in a fast paced work environment.
Ability to work a flexible schedule, which could include some evenings or weekends.
Ability to support organizational and program specific mission and goals.
Ability to lift 40 pounds.
Must have driver's license, ability to obtain automobile insurance at levels required by agency (100/300/100).
Satisfactory results from civil, criminal and motor vehicle background check required.
