Summary Description: The Administrative Assistant for Student Success is a part-time (10 hours per week) position reporting to the Associate Dean of Students. This role is responsible for routine clerical and administrative functions such as drafting correspondence, scheduling appointments, organizing and maintaining paper and electronic files.
Be present in the office on a daily basis unless arrangements are made with the employee’s direct supervisor.
Clerical knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures and systems such as Windows, Excel, Outlook, managing files and records, transcription, and other office procedures.
Knowledge of the structure and content of grammatical conventions, including the meaning and spelling of words; and rules of composition.
Customer Service knowledge of principles for providing customer and personal services. This includes meeting quality standards for services.
Contributes to the support and implementation of the University Strategic Plan.
Participates in Warner Pacific University professional development opportunities.
Adheres to University policies and procedures.
Demonstrates commitment to a Christian liberal arts education by upholding the mission of the University and abiding by the Employment Standards and Lifestyle Agreement.
Exhibits commitment to inclusiveness and sensitivity in areas of national origin, ethnicity, culture, gender, and disabilities.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Strong time management, office management skills and Typing Skills.
A facilitator of order and organization.
Expertise working with Excel and other software programs.
Self-motivation and solution-focused.
Experience working with diverse populations.
Associate Degree in Office Management or applicable coursework in this area.
Physical Demands – Work Environment:
The position is located in a typical office environment. Professional/business casual attire is required.
