We are looking for an experienced, curious, customer-facing Product Manager to join our fast-growing Account Experience Platform team!

What You’ll Do
Overall: Partner with the engineering manager and designer to form the leadership team for Identity and Access Management (IAM). Drive product strategy, build customer relationships, and grow the business in partnership with marketing, sales, security, and other product teams.
Product strategy: Define a product strategy informed by customer and market insights, competitive landscape, internal competences, and company direction. Outline how to make New Relic’s IAM not just incrementally better, but many times more valuable to our customers!
Internal leadership: Use this strategy to align and partner with cross-functional leaders. Establish credibility and strong working relationships with senior leaders. Lead internal and external product promotion, education, and support.
Planning: Collaborate with design and engineering management to define and prioritize product work. Define iterative releases that lead to the longer-term vision. Understand business and engineering trade-offs well to push back on certain requests and gracefully trim scope. Put users’ needs first. Balance feature development with reliability and engineering toil reduction efforts to keep the product healthy.
Customer interactions: Proactively work with prospects and customers to learn about the problems they are trying to solve, build great relationships, and inform product direction.
Positioning: Define product positioning to inform product marketing’s messaging. Stay up-to-date on competitive and market opportunities.
Outcomes: Define business metrics to communicate direction, inform planning, track progress, course-correct, and celebrate achievement.
Customer-facing product management experience with SaaS software
Ability to lead via influence, patience, and determination
Written and verbal communication skills to gain alignment with senior leaders
Clear articulation of business needs and customer problems as context for collaboration to best solve complex problems
Easy movement between long-term goals and day-to-day engagement (with engineering, sales, etc.) to keep focus and momentum
Coordination with other product managers to work toward shared goals
Experience in the Identity and Access Management domain
Demonstrated track record of strategic decision-making, balancing business, security, and stakeholder needs.
