The Staff Accountant will be responsible for functions in the Finance Department at Self Enhancement Inc. (SEI). This position will be primarily responsible for processing company credit cards in Concur and Accounts Payable. This position will assist in Accounts Payable processes including capturing W-9 documents and work with process improvement for Accounts Payable and Credit Cards. This role will provide support to other areas in finance that include processing deposits, contracts/billing, and general ledger for all SEI entities. This is a full-time position that reports to the Controller.
PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
•Responsible for processing SEI company credit cards. Requires review of requests, approvals, receipts, coding and follow-up when necessary for business purpose.
•Implementation and integration of bank software, Concur software and Intacct software.
•Reconcile credit card statement monthly, follow-up on outstanding items.
•Responsible for process improvement for company credit card usage, documentation, and tracking.
•Process “Rush Checks” as needed.
•Serve as backup for Accounts Payable and daily bank deposits.
•Reconcile general ledger accounts as they relate to credit cards or as assigned.
•Prepare journal entries for credit card activity, as needed.
•Support Contracts and Compliance staff with GL Reports and contract tracking spreadsheets.
•Daily copying and scanning of source documents as needed for support.
•Accepts other appropriate duties/responsibilities as assigned.
•A Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or related field or equivalent work experience in accounting.
•Experience in Intacct Accounting Software, Concur or other related software a plus.
•Must have strong communications skills and a positive and professional attitude.
•Solid computer skills including MS Office products and ability to learn new systems/applications.
•Experience working in a non-profit environment a plus.
•Must be detail oriented and highly organized with the ability to meet deadlines.
•Ability to work productively within a team environment.
•Ability to interact and communicate professionally with a diverse group of people.
•Must be dependable.
•Must have current and valid state driver’s license, in good standing with no insurability restrictions and must be insurable under SEI’s auto insurance policy.
