Situated within the Public Health Division as part of the Strategy & Grant Development Team, this position leads and supports equity-based funding and program development to align departmental and community initiatives with strategic plans, community health improvement plans, prioritized metrics, and health inequities.
As the Strategy & Grants Development Specialist Senior you will:
Support funding and program development within Public Health, Integrated Clinical Services, and Mental Health and Addiction Services divisions, as well as the Director’s Office, Corrections Health, Health Officer, and Human Resources.
Serve as subject matter expert to independently manage and conduct assessments of community and program needs, assets, and resources for a variety of projects, including grant applications, program development, and strategic planning to support Health Department programs and other County and community stakeholders.
Lead grant application development for small-to medium-scale projects; support other team members in the development of medium-to large-scale grant applications with a high level of responsibility for the finished product; and lead Public Health Division strategic projects as assigned.
