Are you an experienced paralegal? Does the idea of serving the public and working wide-ranging litigated liability cases interest you?

The City of Salem is looking for an experienced litigation paralegal to support all aspects of an in-house liability defense team. This multi-faceted role will provide assistance in analysis, research, investigation, and coordination of a wide variety of legal matters involving general, auto, employment, and law enforcement liability claims.

The ideal candidate will be highly motivated and organized with excellent communication and time management skills. You will become part of a team that is dedicated to providing exceptional administrative and legal support to the City of Salem.

Minimum Qualifications: •Candidates must be able to pass a pre-employment background check and become CJIS certified within 30 days of employment.
•Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in public administration, business administration or a related field and three years of experience in a related field OR
•Two years' experience working as a litigation paralegal, including the use of electronic information services such as ECF, PACER, and LexisNexis is required. Prior experience in public sector personal injury defense, paralegal degree/certification, and familiarity with the TimeMatters/Case Map case management system are preferred. Candidates must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite applications.
