The Lower Columbia Estuary Partnership seeks a Restoration Ecologist to identify, develop, and implement habitat restoration projects in the lower Columbia River. Specifically, the position works with land owners and other stakeholders to evaluate sites for restoration; collects and analyzes field data; identifies restoration alternatives; participates in engineering design; writes project proposals; secures funding and permits; develops project budgets and timelines; submits reports; oversees construction; and helps collect action effectiveness data. The Restoration Ecologist position requires three years’ experience scoping, developing, and implementing on-the-ground habitat restoration projects, including construction oversight and reforestation. This position is based at the Estuary Partnership with work regularly taking place in a field setting that requires regular travel throughout the Estuary Partnership study area.
