We are currently seeking a Principal Executive/Manager D to join our Child Nutrition Programs as our School Team Leader. This is a permanent, full-time management service position in our Salem, Oregon office.
What you will do!
As the School Team Leader, you direct the School Nutrition Programs by developing and implementing policies, procedures and program priorities consistent with policies established by USDA and ODE and by determining the most effective utilization of resources in order to carry out ODE goals and objectives for providing services to program sponsors and students
You manage and supervise the School Nutrition Program Section of the Child Nutrition Programs to ensure compliance with Federal and State requirements. This includes: implementation, monitoring, evaluation, coordination, and maintenance of programs; liaison with USDA Special Nutrition Programs at region and headquarters level; assurance that the division conforms to State and Federal regulation; distribution of policies and procedures affecting sponsoring organizations; development of cost control measures to assure expenditures are within budget; coordination with partners to ensure efficient and effective service delivery. You provide leadership, coordination, technical assistance, and support to institutions, programs and individuals in the administration, planning, development, implementation, monitoring, evaluation and improvement of nutrition services and nutrition education programs.

What are we looking for?
Six years of experience in supervision, staff-technical, or professional-level work related to nutrition programs. Two years of this experience must have included supervision and management of a program, section, or unit which included: a) development of program rules and policies, b) development of long- and short-range goals and plans, c) program evaluation, and d) budget preparation. (NOTE: A Bachelor's degree or equivalent course work (144 quarter or 96 semester hours) in a field related to management, such as Business or Public Administration, or a field related to the program of the employing agency, may be substituted for three years of the required experience, but will not substitute for the two years of specialized experience.)

Two years of this experience must have included program/project leader responsibility involving one or more of the following areas: a) development of program rules and policies, b) development of long- and short-range goals and plans, c) program evaluation and/or project evaluation, or d) monitoring and controlling or preparing a budget. (NOTE: A Bachelor's degree or equivalent course work (144 quarter or 96 semester hours) in a field related to management, such as Business or Public Administration, or a field related to the program of the employing agency, may be substituted for three years of the required experience, but will not substitute for the two years of specialized experience.)

Knowledge of USDA/FNS and Oregon School and Community Nutrition Program regulations, procedures and policies, and CNPweb.
Knowledge of relational databases, and skills in writing queries and constructing data reports. Demonstrated skills in MS Word, and skills in data analysis and developing pivot tables and graphs in Excel.
Excellent problem-solving skills, critical thinking skills, and oral and written communications skills.
Ability to make strategic, long-range decisions as well as operational decisions.
Excellent public speaking skills, presentation, and technology skills.
Experience providing advice or technical assistance to stakeholders or public.
Ability to collaborate across multiple systems and work together to streamline services across multiple communities and programs. Ability to solicit and value diverse viewpoints.
Budget planning and preparation including forecasting and establishing budget projections associated with revenue streams. Strong knowledge of the principles and process of budgeting and financial managements as it relates to operational management and program delivery.
