Coordinates and supervises a wide variety of activities involved in the redesign, construction and remodel of existing manufacturing facility and office operations. Oversees specialized construction and equipment contractors. Responsible for the schedule and coordination of all design and construction processes to ensure a productive and safe work environment. Ensures jobs & schedules are completed on time and on budget. Responsible for obtaining necessary permits and licenses.


Prepare and negotiate cost estimates, budgets, and work timetables
Select appropriate construction methods and strategies
Interpret and explain contracts and technical information to workers and other professionals
Report on work progress and budget matters
Collaborate with architects, engineers, management and other construction and building specialists
Instruct and supervise construction personnel and activities onsite
Respond to work delays and other problems and emergencies
Working within Company policy Select and instruct laborers and subcontractors
Comply with legal requirements, building and safety codes, and other regulations

Provide work direction and leadership to assigned personnel. Advise employees of pertinent information and issues that may surface in the course of doing business. Responsible for individual performance and behavior, as well as the performance and behavior of subcontractors.


Typically requires a Bachelor of Science degree (B.S.) in engineering, construction science or construction management with a minimum of 5 years related experience preferably in a manufacturing environment. The equivalent combination of experience and education will be considered.


Must have an extensive technical background and professional skills that include the ability to develop documentation, procedures, systems, and to direct other technical people in the field of construction of facilities and building of manufacturing equipment. Experience interpreting an extensive variety of technical information in mathematical form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables. Developed long-term planning at the macro level up to 5 years and in detail up to an 18-month horizon. Applied advanced knowledge of electrical, HVAC, structural, construction, architecture, permitting, ROI analysis, bidding process.
