CCC’s Blackburn Center is seeking a Medical Assistant to join the team!
Blackburn Center is a new six-floor building in East Portland, Oregon (clinic and housing) that will give vulnerable people access to integrated housing, employment and health services, and provide support they need to stabilize and rebuild their lives.

Duties will include:
Work as a member of the Blackburn Center multi-disciplinary team to deliver comprehensive, client centered and trauma informed integrated services.
Preparation for pre-visit huddle with clinical team, including chart review for immunizations, screenings, chronic conditions, mental health issues
Collection, documentation and reporting of patient’s vital signs per clinic protocols.
Completion of preventive screening questions
Medication reconciliation with patients
Exam room stocking and setup pre-visit and clean-up post-visit

Requirements:
AAMA (American Association of Medical Assistants) or NCCT (National Center for Competency Testing) MA certification required.
In lieu of certification, willingness and ability to obtain and successfully complete AAMA or NCCT certification within three months of hire date.
Completion of all coursework for a Certificate-level Medical Assistant program accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Educational programs (CAAHEP) or ABHES accredited required.
Minimum of one (1) year recent, verifiable medical assistant experience within a health care setting, with a behavioral health setting preferred.
Must have current CPR certification
Must have the ability to read labels and distinguish between colors.
Must pass a pre-employment drug screen, TB test, and background check. This includes clearance by the DHS Background Check Unit.
