Reed College is seeking an empathetic, creative, and detail-oriented person to be its Quantitative Skills Specialist & Tutor Program Coordinator. As part of the Office of Academic Support team, this position manages the undergraduate peer tutoring program at the direction of the Director of the Office of Academic Support. It also provides individualized academic coaching for students seeking to improve their academic and quantitative skills, as well as workshops on quantitative skills.

This is a full-time, benefited, exempt position with an annual salary of $47,000. This position will typically work a 37.5-hour week between 8:30 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., with hours outside this range as required by programming, divisional, or institutional needs. The successful candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree and at least two years of work experience in a related position. They will demonstrate competence in quantitative skills, particularly those that would broadly prepare students to succeed in their first-year of higher education at Reed. A strong knowledge of pre-college mathematics as well as Calculus I, and how these subjects are applicable across the college curriculum, is necessary to excel in this role.
