As Columbia Sportswear’s Inventory Analyst you will have the opportunity to exercise your broad knowledge of retail planning principles, practices/procedures, allocation, floor layouts and visuals. Within this role you’ll drive engagement with store management and buyers to develop allocation plans in support of maximizing sales, margins and product turnover at retail locations.





Responsibilities:




•Development of assortment plans by store, distribution of product according to plan and monitoring productivity of inventory according to sales, gross margin and turnover goals
•Responsible for overall inventory levels for each store, including new store openings and special events. Must maintain balance by departments according to plan or sales trends down to style level
•Ability to analyze sales to stock ratios to ensure proper distribution and reorder of product.
•Responsible for timely and balanced receipt flows into stores
•Communicate with store management regarding product needs, future on order, delivery dates
•Communicate with buyers regarding bulk levels to ensure liquidation of product according to plans. Assist buyers in identifying product opportunities and liabilities
•Communicate with the Customer Operations to evaluate and prioritize movement of merchandise from DC to the stores
•Maintain purchase order tracking and communication of early or late orders
•Responsible for distribution of old age and sweeps product from distribution centers.
•Participate in concept meetings and line reviews
•Some travel is required

Requirements:

•Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Merchandising, or related field
•3 to 5 years’ experience in retail with a focus on managing inventory and the ordering process
•Broad knowledge of retail planning, retail allocation, floor layouts/visuals
•Knowledge and application of retail math
