The Operations Associate is responsible for providing facilities operational support and creating positive, effective working relationships with internal staff, vendors, and clients. In addition, the Operations Associate will be responsible for proactive fulfillment of various service requests. This position is part of the Facilities & Business Services Team and reports to the Senior Director of the team.

Your Next Challenge…

•Display excellent customer service by responding to staff requests in a professional and timely manner and ensuring that operations processes and procedures are communicated and understood
•Complete variety of service requests, such as desk and furniture set-up, workstation configurations, coffee machines inspections and troubleshooting, conference room configurations and set-up, computer connections, pre-meeting set-up and assistance with use of conferencing technology, submitting computer warranty tickets, organizing various spaces such as storage room, etc.
•Support variety of office equipment such as copiers, conducting conference room inspections, and conducting workstation and ergonomic adjustments
•Support facility needs by maintaining access cards and building key logs
•Organize office moves and setups by effectively communicating changes and updating office information
•Managing/procuring office supplies by maintaining good working relationships with vendors, resolving issues with pricing, purchase orders, deliveries, and providing feedback on expectations and performance
•Uphold the quality of work by assuring that team procedures and files are documented and up to date, tracking quality measures, and recommending and participating in projects to improve current processes and procedures
•Provide daily backup for the Front Desk function

Traits for Success…

•Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office applications (Windows, Outlook, Word, Excel, Visio, and PowerPoint); high aptitude for learning new applications
•Strong written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills
•Must be able to lift/move items weighing up to 65 pounds, and ability to use light hand tools
•Ability to produce results and demonstrate creativity; ability to work independently and within a team setting
•Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills; creatively problem-solving while keeping the “bigger picture” in mind

Your Education & Experience…

•Minimum three years of experience in an operations and facilities support role
•Understanding of workplace experience and basic building systems operations
•Associates degree in business or related field desired; equivalent combinations of education and work experience in lieu of a degree will be considered

About the Operations & Facilities Team…

Composed of the Senior Director and seven staff members, the Operations & Facilities team is one of several teams within our Corporate Services department. They are responsible for the management and support of NWEA’s corporate office, supporting remote staff, organizing office moves and workstation set-up; front desk and visitor experience, access control and shipping & receiving functions. In addition, the team is responsible for the business continuity plan, the corporate insurance program and works with various vendors and service providers to ensure that NWEA’s workplace environment is an amazing place. By doing so, this team supports NWEA’s mission, that is simple but vast: Partnering to help all kids learn®.
